We are happy to announce that SMIT "CREATOR" members were participating in the Training Course project called Road to Inclusion co-ordinated by VIVID z.s.
This project will face the phenomena of exclusion as a matter of necessity related by the boost of social exclusion rate among young people in the European Countries, caused by insecurity in living standards, political and social isolation, feelings of estrangement and unhealthy lifestyles, increase of unemployment rate among young people. Thanks to this training our goal is to raise the skills of youth workers and develop ideas and possible remedies to prevent social exclusion within the society.
The key concepts to be explored are exclusion and its causes, discrimination, skills development, active participation and citizenship and the role of NGO’s and Institutions.
Among the social exclusion fighting policies and strategies that are to be explored in our training are:
- analysis of the social exclusion and factors that influence it
- discrimination
- empowerment
- youth participation versus apathy behavior
- active citizenship
- local institutions and role of NGO's
- EU and local strategies against social exclusionor attitudes towards target groups in need by taking action
